The EmoBot research team participated in the 14th International Conference on Information and Education Technology (ICIET 2026) , which was held in Koriyama, Japan from 17 to 19 April 2026, co-organized by IEEE and Nihon University. The paper entitled “Conversational Agent with Emotional Intelligence for Foreign Language Learning” (number C337) was presented orally (remotely) by Dr. Athanasios Kallipolitis in the context of the thematic session Online Session 4: AI-Empowered Education: From Learning Companions to Generative AI Applications , and is the product of the collaboration between the Computational Biomedicine Laboratory (CBMlab) of the Department of Digital Systems of the University of Piraeus, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the companies smartRep and Toolbox Consulting Services. The paper is written by A. Kallipolitis, D. Koulouris, M. Tziokama, K. Pinitas, A. Zafeiriou, A. Menykhtas, H. Maglogiannis, V. Gioulis, A. Sioupi, S. Michalopoulou, G. Tsoulouhas, M. Katras, P.
